This is the "Welcome To Brooklyn" sign that you see while on the Brooklyn Bridge. I don't know about the "How Sweet it is" thing. "Sweet" isn't the first word that comes to mind when I think of Brooklyn. images by BrooklyNYC.com

I see this is a really old post. The "How Sweet It Is" is what Jackie Gleason (Brooklyn Native) used to say. That was his trademark phrase! His hit comedy the Honeymooners supposedly took place in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.
